The main objective of the Industrial Property Major is to train students to become professionals in the industrial property field sho will eventually contribute to economic development of the nation by improving national competitiveness through technology development and management. The Major is also designed to educate students to protection of industrial properties, patent and design rights, trademark and copyrights and technology transfer, with the aim of ultimately becoming scholars who will significantly contribute to the science of industrial property. Towards this end, the educational emphasis of the Major is placed on comprehensive knowledge of industrial property rights in legal, economic and management arenas. For this purpose, the curriculum of the Major includes economic courses as well as management courses, such as industrial property rights management and management of technological information and law courses such as trademark law, patent law, design law and copyright law.
